Kanjani Eight (関ジャニ∞（エイト） Kanjani Eito, stylized as Kanjani∞) is a seven-member Japanese boy band from Japan’s Kansai region. They are managed by the multimedia talent agency, Johnny & Associates, and signed to Imperial Records. The group was formed in 2002 and made their CD debut in 2004 as “Johnny’s modern enka group”, though after the year 2006, their sound and style has become a mix of pop and rock. Like the rest of the acts managed under Johnny & Associates, Kanjani Eight also perform in various other areas of the Japanese entertainment industry such as variety show hosting, television, movie, and stage acting, and radio talk show hosting.

hideto, former member of Japanese band Amber Bullet, has passed away on June 18th.

Back in January 2011 the bassist already took a break from live performances due to poor physical health. But we don’t know if the cause for his death is related to his poor health back in 2011 because until now the cause for his death hasn’t been revealed.

Three years after Amber Bullet’s disbanding in April 2011 hideto, real name “Sakai Hidetoshi“, joined a new project named “rarirurero” (ラリルレロ) and was active as bassist until his death.

Anna Iriyama, 18, and Rina Kawaei, 19, suffered hand and head injuries, while  a member of security staff also suffered cuts to his hand.

The group were meeting fans after they held a mini-concert in Takizawa city, northern Japan, on Sunday, when the attacker took a foldable saw from his jacket and thrust it at the singers.

They were left with cuts on their hands and heads and left hospital this morning wearing white towels covering their heads and hands.

Unemployed Satoru Umeta, 24, has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Back in March we already mentioned the first cover album of Japanese bandGALNERYUS. To celebrate their 10th major debut anniversary the band announced two self cover albums. The first one was released in May and the second one will follow in September. The exact release date is September 4th and the price is 3500 Yen.

The upcoming album includes 10 tracks and comes with a DVD featuring scenes of their tour final “UNDER THE PROMISED FLAG” held on December 7th. The tracks included on the DVD aren’t revealed yet but here is the track list for the CD:

・BLAME YOURSELF
・HOLDING THE BROKEN WINGS
・SIGN OF REVOLUTION
・VANISHING HOPE
・SEASONS CRY
・CAUSE DISARRAY
・CHASING THE WIND
・SHRIEK OF THE VENGEANCE
・THE AWAKENING

The band pointed out that those songs will be very different from the original ones. That’s the reason why they decided that each song will get a new title that will be announced soon.
