2NE1 Minzy‘s older sister Gong Min Young finally debuted with her first full-length and gospel album, REBIRTH. 

On October 24th, Gong Min Young announced on her Instagram that her debut album REBIRTH had been released. The album falls under the genre of CCM, or contemporary Christian music, but also features aspects of EDM, jazz, hip-hop and RMB styles. Leading up to the release date, the singer had posted 15-second teasers for three of her songs, including “Overcome”, “Go!” and “Turn It Up”, peaking a lot of interest from netizens.

Gong Min Young’s younger sister, 2NE1’s Minzy showed support for her older sister by making a couple of Instagram posts promoting REBIRTH. 2NE1 is currently involved in controversy following YG Entertainment revealing that 2NE1 will not be attending any year-end music award ceremonies as a group.
