The fabulous Pointer Sisters and The wonderful Whispers performed Saturday July 23, 2011 at Cache Creek.

Since when are the Pointer sisters bigger than the Whispers? I waited 25 years to be able to see my boys and when I finally get the chance my wife and I were totally disappointed to see The Whispers doing the opening act and they only performed 7 songs! To their credit they sounded excellent and put on a good show but it was waaaaay too short…I thought they were just leaving the stage to change outfits then I started looking for Ashton Kutcher cause I thought I was being Punk’d!! I’m sure the Pointers put on a good show too (they are probably still performing as I write this)…I wouldn’t know cause I was so disappointed that we left…. bottom line is I went to see Whispers and Pointers were just an added perk!! Book em again…this time as the headliner and hook me up with some VIP passes!
Hi Nate and Wife, I am so sorry you did not have a good time and the show was so short, what you can do is before you see them again send a letter/ email stating how you feel and suggest how many songs you think they should perform and that you would like backstage passes to make up for your disappointment. Okay take two. I love the Pointer Sisters. Although, when I heard their remake of It’s Raining Men I have to say this. I first heard this song in 1973 (I was a baby of course) on the Merv Griffith Show sung by these two very large big boobed black women called “Two Tons of Fun”, The part when the are shimmying with their heads held high screaming the words “rip up the roof and stay in bed”. A classic and something I will always remember with a laugh. They later released the single as the Weathergirls. Bonnie and company can’t even compare to that performance. I wish they went on with a follow up, maybe it’s snowing sex. halleluiah!
