The late Senator Ted Kennedy’s daughter died on September 16, 2011 at the age of 51. According to People, Kennedy was at a gym in Washington, D.C. area working out.

Kennedy survived lung cancer, however, her brother Patrick Kennedy stated to the press that the cancer treatment “took quite a toll on her and weakened her physically. Her heart gave out.” What caused Kennedy’s death has not been disclosed to the press.

Kennedy was the eldest daughter of Virginia and Ted Kennedy, she worked as a producer for a TV show called “Evening Magazine” in Boston. Kennedy was married to Michael Allen and a mother of two teenagers.
