Pop singer Shakira will be honored with a star on its Walk of Fame on Nov. 8, just hours before receiving the “Person of the Year” accolade  for her philanthropic contributions as part of the 2011 Latin Grammys ceremony  in Las Vegas the following day.

The ceremony is set to take place across the street from the W Hollywood Hotel  on the popular corner of Hollywood and Vine.
