According to New York Daily News, Van Halen announced that the band is going on tour next  year with original lead singer David  Lee Roth, who left the band.

Roth, perhaps realizing his mistake after a stalled solo career, tried  several attempts to return to the fold over the years.

Eddie  Van Halen booted Roth from the band in October 1996, however, Roth released  a blistering letter to the media calling his one-time collaborator a liar.
