According to People, American Idol season 8 contestant Danny Gokey 31,  has married a model name “Leyicet Peralta 25.  While on Idol,  Gokey shed many tears after losing his wife “Sophia Gokey” in 2008 after a routine surgery for congenital heart disease.

“We wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding of just friends and family,” the couple tell PEOPLE. “The theme of the wedding was romance and love.”

I wish Gokey and Peralta a long happy marriage; however,  I hope he’s had enough time to get to know his new bride before the wedding.  The late Mrs. Gokey married “Dan Gokey” and not “The Danny Gokey”

The many  tears Gokey cried over his late wife has not dried yet from the American Idol stage.
