AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi has stepped in on SKE48’s Matsui Jurina’s condition and has told her to take an indefinite rest.

According to Tokyo Hive, Akimoto had shared on his Google+ account that Matsui had suffered from anaemia and exhaustion from overworking and has instructed her to take plenty of sleep and nourishment to recover.

“Jurina is resting with her mom,” Akimoto said and added; “I am keeping in touch with both Jurina and her mum, and I told them not to worry about work. So if there’s a sudden change in schedule, I’m sorry.”

Jurina had been absent from SKE48 activities since 5 April after stretching her limits during a performance in February and most recently at the AKB48 mega-concert in the Saitama Super Arena recently.
