Neil Diamond’s heartlight has been turned on.
The superstar singer wed his manager Katie McNeil in front of family and close friends in L.A. on Saturday, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
The “Sweet Caroline” and “Cherry, Cherry” crooner, 71, announced his engagement on Twitter last September.
“Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you’re the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well,” he wrote at the time. He also posted a photo of his bride-to-be with the words, “I’m lovestruck.”

It’s the first marriage for McNeil, 42, and the third marriage for Diamond, who kicks off a U.S. summer tour on June 1.
