Mariah Carey’s estranged HIV-positive ex-prostitute sister has issued a desperate plea to her superstar sister – to let her meet her niece and nephew.
Alison Carey, 50, revealed she yearned to finally meet her sisters children Moroccan Scott and Monroe.
As the mother-four spoke out from her Long Island outpatient facility her sister took to the stage at the 11th edition of the Mawazine International Music Festival in an outfit dripping with gold, a far cry from Alison’s lifestyle.
Alison Carey, 50, has begged Mariah, 42, to get in touch after a number of health scares and a lengthy battle with drugs.
She told The Sun: ‘If I had a message it would be, “Just call me”.’
Her HIV positive sibling – who revealed she worked as a prostitute in New York to clothe and feed their family before she Mariah found fame – hasn’t spoken to the star properly since having a huge argument in 1994.
Now she is trying to reconnect following the first birthday of her nephew and niece – fathered by presenter Nick Cannon – Moroccan and Monroe.
She is in the region with her son Moroccan, whose moniker was inspired by the country.
The “Emotions” creator, who has been in the studio recording her 14th album with Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, reportedly is clueless about her sibling’s condition. Recently, Mariah Carey has dealt with her husband Nick Cannon’s own battles with a rare form of autoimmune disease lupus. News of Alison Carey Scott’s liver cancer diagnosis is sure to come as a blow to the singer.
“Mariah’s been to hell and back with Nick’s health problems… Now Alison’s tragedy will be a double whammy for her,” a source told the National Enquirer.
Though Mariah Carey and her sister have had a rocky relationship since the performer stepped into the spotlight, she’s supported Alison Carey Scott while undergoing treatment for her drug addiction, even paying for her visit to rehab.
