According to allkpop forum, the Seoul Central District Court will announce the verdict of JYJ’s lawsuit against S.M. Entertainment on August 10, 2012.
This could be a major victory for Jaejoong, Yoochun , and Junsu to be free of their existing contract and possibly sign a new fair contract with S.M.E and return to TVXQ with Yunho and Changmin as five which something fans are keeping the faith to happen.
The trio filed their lawsuit in June 2009 which makes three long years of waiting for happy result, hopefully, it will be a joyous verdict for JYJ and the fans.
The person received this answer which is according to allkpop forum, If JYJ loses the lawsuit, then they would have to pay a LARGE sum of money to SME for compensation of the rest of their “contract” (If they lose they have to pay SME the money SME lost if they were to perform the remainder of the years left on the contract as five members which is A LOT…around 5 million$)
If JYJ wins then SME would HAVE to stop interfering with their activities because then JYJ would acknowledged as an official group apart from TVXQ! Also, they would get a lump sum of cash to go along with their freedom! And maybe a possible reunification with the other two members as TVXQ’s contract is coming to an end soon…but idk for SURE!
However, there could be a major set back if S.M. Entertainment appeals the verdict which means a major delay for fans who are waiting for this to be over with and resolved.
A three-step process according to jyjfans, the first trial with the District Court which the verdict will be announced is on August 10, 2012, that could be final, however, if JYJ wins and S.M. E appeals then the case goes to the Appeals Court, and the last trial could be with the Supreme Court.
The updated information on JYJ’s Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu’s lawsuit has been postponed from July 19, 2012 to August 10, 2012.

I wonder… will SM have to pay JYJ anything? Because if not, then I’m sure they have been hit hard financially with lawyer bills and less income from being blocked by SM all this time.
If SM pays them, they money would help cover lawyer bills at least, so that would be good.
I guess that depends on the outcome of the lawsuit… if JYJ wins and the court orders SME to pay them so-and-so, SME will have to, right? Also, there was the fine imposed upon SME for every time they interfered with JYJ’s activities. I don’t know whether evidence of such has ever been found against SME and whether or not SME has already paid JYJ, but anyway…
All that aside, JYJ earns quite a lot now outside of SME. Yoochun earned about US $10 M a year since he left with his CF deals, dramas, JYJ activities and others. Junsu’s album and concerts are doing well (not to mention his 3 highly successful musicals and musical concert), and Jaejoong is now on his second Korean drama, which is also doing well. Jaejoong and Yoochun even have a restaurant together.
They continuously donate large amounts to charity and give expensive gifts to people they care about, etc.

Thats right Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu are doing far better than when they were under the control of S.M. Entertainment. We will learn the outcome on August 10, 2012,the new date. So proud of them. Thanks for replying!
