Gongchan (B1A4) Has Surgery To Remove A Kidney

B1A4’s Gongchan was hospitalized to undergo surgery to remove one of his kidneys that wasn’t functioning properly which was from a released statement issued by WM Entertainment.

During the promotion for the song “Baby Good Night”, Gongchan began suffering severe pain in June 2012, in addition to having poor kidneys since birth; however, after going through a full medical examination, he decided to have surgery.

Representatives said that Gongchan wanted to delay his surgery to prevent fans from worrying about his medical condition. He will stay in the hospital for a week and to take some time off from B1A4’s promotional activities in order for him to recover.

At the same time, B1A4 will star in the sixth season of “Hello Baby” on KBS that will broadcast on July 25, 2012.
