According to, US Weekly Actress / Comedian legend Phyllis Diller has died in her Los Angeles, California home. Diller rose to fame thanks to an appearance on Groucho Marx’s game show You Bet Your Life in 1955.
Diller — then working as a journalist — transitioned into a comedy career and made audiences laugh on The Jack Paar Show and on her own self-titled variety show.
The comic — whose routines frequently included anecdotes about her fictitious husband “Fang” and her plastic surgery — appeared on the small screen on shows including 7th Heaven, Blossom and on The Bold and the Beautiful as Gladys Pope.
