Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger proposed to singer Avril Lavigne  with a 14-carat diamond engagement ring on August 8, 2012.

The two Canadians had a quiet relationship. This will be Lavigne’s second marriage and this will Kroeger’s first marriage if the marriage takes place.

Kroeger 37 and Lavigne 27 have not released a wedding date.
