American Idol is gearing up for a new season with new judges. Mariah Carey gained a hefty contract for the season. Randy Jackson is to be a mentor to the contestants. Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj will be a part of the team.
Aretha Franklin, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood & a host of others would have been perfect for the job. Keith Urban is perfect.
Good luck to the future contestants & judges, Once again I will not be watching & supporting American Idol…
Dede: As you know I respect your opinion and read your blogs a lot. I think this panel is a train wreck waiting to happen. Mariah is probably only one that knows music well enough to judge others. Keith is a nice guy and can sing Country so he is a good addition but he won’t fulfill expectations that producers want. Randy is also a really nice guy but should have left AI as a judge years ago. Why they are keeping him I don’t understand. he really never gave constructive criticism as he should have. None of these judges will do what Adam Lambert could have done for the panel. He’s been in their shoes and contestants can relate to him. He’s a classically trained singer and has sang all genres except Country but problem could sing that if he chose to do it. He would be fair but honest and actually give them advice they can use. None of the above judges will do that. Also isn’t it odd that the demographics are so titled on the panel. I always thought the panel should portray the demographics of that country. The Voice has 1 Blk and 3 White judges. Same with XF. So why would AI do this. It’s makes no sense. I’d like to hear your opinion on this. thanks
Hey honey, Gee I miss you so much! In my blog, I think Adam Lambert, Aretha Franklin etc would have been more qualified to be a judge, That Nicki person OMG what a freaking joke… Randy is a “Yes Man” to me, he is a joke as well…
I don’t care for Paula due to a personal reson however, she wwas the best as far as I am concern.. Simon was in and out but, he gave his honest opinion…
They considered Carrie Underwood at one point, I think she dis not accept it due to the fact she is much too busy… Carrie could not handle the R&B/Soul week on Idol and that brings me back to Adam, He NAILED every Genre they gave him.
You, Beverly, La Tray and I pretty much agree and repect each other, You are so right this season is a TRAIN WREAK…

I just can’t watch the nightmare. Don’t think many Glamberts will tune in but may watch few min just to see how NM acts. lol
I don’t blame you at all, as a matter of fact I stopped watching Idol when Adam did not win, I followed Casey James ONLY after that, I do not know who the others were. I have don blogs on what they report but, I am finished with Idol for good… Nicki is a freaking joke to me, I just do not understand Idol anymore…
So, as we speak, Let’s spread the word, NOT TO SUPPORT AMERICAN IDOL… okay?

Hey Sharon, I just updated the blog wishing the contestants & judges good luck and that I will not be watching or supporthing the show…As a matter of fact I will not be doing any blogs about the show regardless as to who wins///
