Otis Robert Harris, Jr. was born July 17, 1950,  Harris was born  in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of The Temptations from 1971 to 1975.

When he joined the Temptations, Otis Harris changed his name to Damon Harris, because, in his words, “the group already had an Otis.”

At the age of 47, Harris was diagnosed with prostate cancer. On February 18, 2013, Harris died at the age of 62
