Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel‘s eligibility may be in jeopardy after he reportedly was paid by a South Florida broker for signing hundreds of autographs.

ESPN‘s Outside the Lines reported Sunday the NCAA is investigating whether Manziel, who was honored during the BCS Championship Game in Miami for winning the Heisman Trophy, agreed to sign memorabilia in exchange for a five-figure fee.

Sources told ESPN they witnessed Manziel signing items but saw no money change hands. Three sources said Manziel signed photographs, footballs, mini football helmets and other items at the request of an autograph broker named Drew Tieman.

Sun Sentinel attempts to reach Tieman for comment Sunday were unsuccessful.

Tieman, 27, is no stranger to the sports business world.
