Taiwan-based actor Wu Chun recently made a surprise announcement saying that he has a daughter.

ET Today website reported that on 1 October, the actor made the statement on his fan site, Chun Zone, saying, “Yes, I now have an important role that money can’t buy. I am a very happy super dad!”

Wu Chun revealed that the mother is his first love of 18 years, whom he dated since they were sixteen. The media also speculated that his daughter is already two-years-old at the time of announcement.

The 34-year-old actor, who has always been private about his personal life, stated, “She has been by my side, supporting me from the time when I still struggled in school in Australia, till the loss of my loved ones.”

He also apologised to fans for keeping it a secret for quite a long time, and stated that he did so out of respect for his girlfriend’s privacy.

He added, “I know that this is very sudden and some might find it hard to digest. Whatever your responses are, I will respect it. Please understand [why I kept it a secret].”
