On the 23rd, staff of Sincine, the production team of the new movie, announced that both Cha Taehyun and Victoria will begin cranking in the filming for “My Sassy Girl 2” at the end of this month. The staff also revealed the new plot line for the anticipated sequel.
Like the original, “My Sassy Girl”, which was a 2001 film that blasted Cha Taehyun and Jun Jihyun’s fame sky high, Cha will be playing the same role and character, Kyunwoo, from the first movie. However, Victoria will be playing the role of Kyunwoo’s very first childhood crush, a Chinese girl in his elementary school who always got bullied for her thick Korean accent.
Following the original where Kyunwoo’s “sassy girl” ends up leaving him and he still can’t forget about her, he randomly bumps into his childhood crush (Victoria) and the story about his new “sassy girl” and the happily married life they have will be portrayed in “My Sassy Girl 2”.
