In the recent interview, when asked if the excessive public focus on his good looks ever interrupted his acting career, Kim Jaejoong unexpectedly answered that he didn’t think he was good-looking.

“I think Junsu is the best looking guy in JYJ. Junsu’s got everything that I don’t have,” said Jaejoong. About the other JYJ member Park Yoochun, he said, “Yoochun is different compared with Junsu. He may look gentle to others, but i know he’s indifferent and that’s his charm.”

He then evaluated himself, saying, “I have this peculiar look on my face that makes me stand out in the crowds. That’s why fans recognize me the first among the other two JYJ members when we go abroad.” According to the “Dr. Jin” star, he probably looked cold and to have a temper to some, but he said he was “a pretty good guy” and smiled. He added, “It’s another excellent thing about JYJ that we all are different in our own way.”

Kim Jaejoong gave an example of actor Park Hae-il who was in his mid thirties but played an old man over 70 in “Eun-gyo,” and said affirmingly that how one looked did not matter when portraying a character.

“I want to portray as many characters as possible and show many different sides of me.”

Kim Jaejoong has recently finished shooting “Dr. Jin” and will work on JYJ album and his next acting role simultaneously.
