Tori Spelling has revealed dramatic new details of the moment her four-year-old daughter saved her life when she fell ill during her recent pregnancy.

A month after welcoming son Finn Davey, the mother of four explained that Stella came to her aid when she ‘nearly died’ after suffering the life threatening condition placenta previa.

The reality star was speaking at the launch of her new clothing line, LIttle Maven, for JC Penney, where she was joined by Stella, daughter Hattie, one, son Liam, five and husband Dean.

Tori told People magazine that she was in bed with just her daughter when she woke to find herself in a ‘massive’ pool of blood.

‘I stumbled to the bathroom, dizzy from losing so much blood. When I got there, I thought, “This is it.”

‘There was so much blood I thought, “I’m dying. Not just [losing] the baby, but I’m dying.”‘

With Dean sleeping in a different room with Liam, Tori yelled out for Stella, who came running.

‘I’ll never forget the look on her face when she saw me surrounded by blood everywhere. I didn’t want to panic her and I said, “Baby, will you go get Daddy? Just tell him I’m bleeding.”

‘Her eyes were as big as saucers and – this is going to make me cry – she looked like such a little toddler warrior. She said, “Okay, Mama” and she ran.

‘And two seconds later Dean came in and basically had to wrap me up to get me to the hospital.’

Once she reached hospital Tori was warned that doctors might need to deliver the baby, who at 20 weeks gestation had no chance of life.

Luckily they managed to stop the bleeding and stabilise her, but she was then put on bed rest and was not allowed to leave hospital for ten weeks.

‘My condition was so dangerous that I couldn’t even walk across my room; I had to lie flat,’ she told the magazine.

‘I was lucky on days that I had bathroom privileges. But I committed.

‘I was like, “I’m going to get this baby to a healthy point and we’re going to be a family.” I would rub my belly and talk to [the baby]. I kept telling him, “We’re going to be fine” and “I can’t wait to hold you.”‘

The baby made it to full term at 37 weeks when he was delivered by Cesarian section.

But Tori’s ordeal was not over – she was rushed back to hospital for life saving surgery when her scar burst just two weeks later.

Now she is busy spending time with her four children.

But Tori admitted she was worried the experience had scarred Stella, who often talked about it.

‘She never forgets that. She says to me all the time, “Mama, do you remember that day when we woke up and you were bleeding?”

‘And I [say], “I do remember that day because you saved me.” I hope it won’t stick with her in a scarring way.’

At Friday’s event Tori was joined by her adorable one-year-old daughter Hattie, who modeled the line, and a host of celebrity mothers, including Jennie Garth, Jennifer Aspen and daughter Charlotte O’Donnell.
