Ukip MEP Godfrey Bloom could lose his party’s whip after telling an event held to promote women: “this place is full of sluts”.

Later, in another outburst, Mr Bloom hit Channel 4 News political correspondent Michael Crick over the head with a conference brochure and called him a racist after being confronted over why there were “no black faces” in the booklet.
