Bethany Freeman, 17, who was described as having “everything to look forward to”, was crushed to death this morning when a huge tree toppled onto her mobile home as she slept.
Bethany, who was nicknamed Gia, was killed as the 30ft tree was uprooted in high winds in Lydens Lane, Hever, near Edenbridge, Kent, at 7.18am.
Neighbours told how some came forward with chainsaws to try to help free the trapped 17-year-old talented sports fan but to no avail.
Bethany and her family were living in the mobile homes while renovation work was taking place at their own house, according to local people.
