Mamie Konneh Lahun, 24, finished 20 in last Sunday’s race but failed to return to her accommodation in Greenwich afterwards.

Ms Lahun was the first woman from Sierra Leone to represent the country and set a new national record.

It has emerged since the race she deliberately ran away and is safe, but her whereabouts are unknown.
