Singer Seo In-guk has opened up about his struggle with bulimia that started after he was admonished for his weight by judges at an audition for JYP Entertainment.

“At the initial audition, they said that I should lose some weight,” Seo said in an episode of YTN’s “News and Issue ? Issue and People” that aired on Thursday. “From that point onward, I became obsessed with weight loss. After every meal, I’d vomit so that I could lose weight.”

When he lost enough weight, the 24-year-old singer said he went back to the agency only to be rejected again.

“They said that although I’d lost weight, my singing had worsened. I presume it was because I damaged my vocal cords due to all the vomiting.”

Despite the setback, Seo said he went on to audition for “Superstar K” and his win on the program back in 2010 helped him regain his self-confidence.

Seo is currently starring in the MBC drama “Love Rain” alongside Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk.

During a recent press conference for Taiwanese actor Mark Chao’s new flick “Black and White” which was held in Beijing, China, the actor hinted some truth to everyone’s speculation of him dating Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan, according to the Daily Chilli website.

“I think this is not the right time to talk about this, as it is unfair to directors Tsai Yueh-Hsun and Chen Kai Ge (who directs Chao in his latest flick Sou Suo, loosely translated as Search) if it diverts people’s attention from the films.” Mark said at the press conference.

However, what he said later showed that Chao cared a lot about his rumoured lover.

“Yuanyuan is a good woman. I treasure her a lot. Please protect her and don’t hurt her,” he added.

Yuanyuan was seen visiting Mark in Nanjing, China and has been said to have spent five days together. They were later spotted locking hands as they went for a stroll.

A 26-year-old Nepali actor in Bollywood has been murdered by two struggling Indian actors by decapitating her head in the Indian city of Gorakhpur, news reports quoting the Indian police said.

Mumbai Police Crime Branch arrested Amit Jaiswal, 36 and Preeti Elvina Surin, 26 on Saturday night from Bandra in India’s financial capital Mumbai, home to Bollywood cinema, for allegedly murdering Minakshi Thapa, a Nepali actor in Mumbai, according to the Indian Express.

Thapa had settled in Dehradun before moving to Mumbai to pursue an acting career.

The duo had been carrying the severed head of actor Thapa for two days, before throwing it out of a bus on their way to Mumbai. This was after the duo had disposed her body, they said. Thapa had gone missing a month ago from her Lokhandwala residence.

According to the Indian Express report, Jaiswal and Surin had befriended Thapa at a film shoot. Thapa had told the duo that she was from a rich family and was working in Bollywood simply to pursue her hobby, said police officers.

Police said Jaiswal had not been earning much when he met Surin. The two had then started coaching classes which incurred losses.

“The couple then planned to kidnap Thapa and demand ransom from her father. On March 13, they lured Thapa to Allahabad for a film shoot. After killing her in Gorakhpur, they acquired her ATM card and mobile SIM card,” an unnamed police officer told the Express.

The accused then allegedly made calls to Thapa’s mother demanding a ransom of Rs15 lakh. They allegedly threatened Thapa’s family by saying that they would shoot a blue film featuring Thapa and would kill her if their demand were not met. According to the police, the duo had instructed Thapa’s brother Navraj to deposit the cash in Thapa’s account. Navraj had then registered a kidnapping complaint with Dehradun police which was later transferred to Amboli police station.

Police said Navraj had given kidnappers Rs 60,000 while the police was searching for them.

“At first Jaiswal and Surin denied their involvement. However, Jaiswal admitted that Thapa had given her mobile and ATM card to him while she was in Allahabad with her boyfriend. After continous, Surin confessed to the crime. The two, however, have not told the police where they have disposed Thapa’s body. Even if we find the body, we might not be able to find Thapa’s head as the accused do not remember where exactly they threw it,” the officer told the Express. MORE NEWS ON THIS STORY:

Zeenews Bureau
Mumbai: Meenakshi Thapa, a small-time actress who was seen in the movie ‘404’ and a few commercials on TV, had earlier been reported missing. Two of her associates, Amit Kumar Jaiswal and Priti Elvina Suri, have been arrested for murdering the actress.

The body of Thapa was hacked to pieces and dumped in a septic tank, and the severed head was thrown out of a moving bus. The two accused have confessed to the murder and have been arrested for the same.
Jaiswal and Surin had met Thapa on the sets of a shoot in Mumbai, and were under the impression that Thapa belonged to an affluent family from Nepal, and had taken up acting as a mere hobby. The two accused had then lured Thapa to Allahabad for a supposed film shoot scheduled there. However, when the two learnt the truth about Thapa, they murdered the actress. The two junior artistes are now in police custody.

NEWS FROM THE GATE WAY PUNDIT:

Fellow actors kidnapped, beheaded and chopped up actress Meenakshi Thapa in India.

The beheaded body of a small-time model and Bollywood starlet Meenakshi Thapa was recovered from the sewage tank of a house where the father of a woman, arrested along with her paramour for the murder by the Mumbai Police, lives as a tenant.  Meenakshi Thapa’s chopped body parts were found in Allahabad.

India Today reported on the brutal murder.

Acting was small-time Bollywood actor Meenakshi Thapa’s love, but playacting took her life.

She was kidnapped and brutally beheaded last month by two aspiring actors she befriended on the sets of Madhur Bhandarkar’s yet-to-be-released film Heroine, where she did a bit role.

Her killers Amit Jaiswal (36) and his lover Preeti Elvina Surin dumped the torso in a water tank and carried the severed head in a bag before throwing it out of a moving bus.

Jaiswal and Surin confessed before the Mumbai Police after their arrest on Saturday night that they were taken in by the 26-year-old struggling actor’s pretentious stories about her “affluent family”.

“The accused believed that Thapa was from a wealthy family because her lifestyle, despite not landing a big film role, hid the fact that she actually came from a middleclass background. Hence, they plotted to kidnap her for a ransom of Rs.15 lakh and kill her after the payment was made,” a police officer said.

Meenakshi was a struggler who earlier played a minor role in last year’s horror flick 404 and did some TV commercials. Her Nepalese-origin family has settled in Dehradun some years ago. Like her, Jaiswal and Surin were struggling for a toehold in the film industry.

The killers held onto the head for two days. Mid-Day reported:

She had played a bit part in the 2011 horror film 404 that spooked audiences. But, the uncut tale of small-time actress Meenakshi Thapa’s murder is considerably more unnerving. According to cops, the two advocates-cum-struggling actors, who were arrested by unit IX of Mumbai crime branch on Saturday night, were carrying the severed head of the 26-year-old for two days before throwing it out of a moving bus.
