Rumour has it that singer-songwriter Faye Wong will be taking over the custody of her daughter Li Yan from ex-husband, Li Yapeng, following a series of scandals that have been plaguing the actor.

Sina reported that despite being granted the guardianship of Li Yan, Li Yapeng has not been able to focus on his parenting responsibility due to his relationship rumours with young actress Feng Jingen, and the investigations on his charity foundation, Beijing Shuyuan China Culture Development Foundation.

It was reported that the seven-year-old, who is lacking in her father’s attention, has been making trouble with her classmates at school ever since the scandal hit the headlines.

Upon being informed about the situation, Faye Wong has reportedly flown back to Beijing from Hong Kong to settle the problem and took Li Yan under her care for the time being.

Sources claimed that although she initially gave the custody to Li Yapeng, who is also responsible for their Smile Angel Foundation, she is now changing her mind and will fight over the care of Li Yan from Li Yapeng.

“Li Yapeng has no time to focus on their daughter since the scandals. Faye is not happy. She said that she will use any means to fight for the custody of Li Yan,” said the insider.
