Ai Ai delas Alas is no longer pursuing the physical abuse case she filed May of last year against ex-husband, businessman Jed Salang.

The comedienne revealed that she has withdrawn the case as part of their divorce agreement, which was granted recently by a Las Vegas court.

“Tapos na ‘yun (case) noon pa. Kaya lang hindi puwede i-discuss unless tapos na ‘yung divorce,” she said in a taped interview on “Startalk.”

She clarified that it was Jed who sought for the divorce and that her withdrawal of the physical abuse case is “’Yun ang kapalit nun…”

Dasha Zhukova, 32, was caught up in controversy after an online magazine published a photo of her perched on the artwork.

Buro 24/7 used the image of Ms Zhukova yesterday, which was Martin Luther King Day, to illustrate an unrelated interview about the former model’s new magazine, Garage.

George Stinney was found guilty in 1944 of killing two white girls, ages 7 and 11. The trial lasted less than a day in the tiny Southern mill town of Alcolu, separated, as most were in those days, by race.

Nearly all the evidence, including a confession that was central to the case against Stinney, has disappeared, along with the transcript of the trial. Lawyers working on behalf of Stinney’s family have gathered new evidence, including sworn statements from his relatives accounting for his whereabouts the day the girls were killed and from a pathologist disputing the autopsy findings.
