The Duke of Cambridge lugged sandbags in a flood-hit village.
The Duke, together with brother Prince Harry, pulled on waders and waterproofs to help build sandbag walls with other members of the Armed Forces in Datchet, Berkshire.
They were helping out within walking distance of Windsor Castle

“SNL” is taking a break for the Sochi Winter Games. The long-running late-night show airs at 11:30 p.m. Saturdays on WESH-Channel 2.
Emmy-winner Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom, will host the March 1 edition of “SNL.”

Alexis Houston, you have a problem. You haven’t paid fashion stylist Phillip Bloch the $25,000 he claims you owe him.
Whitney Houston’s supposed half-sister hired the busy Bloch a year ago to style her photo shoots for an upcoming album, her website and a promotional tour.
Alexis is managed by Robyn Crawford, who was Whitney’s close friend since they were teenagers in Newark, NJ.
“I was a huge Whitney fan, and I thought I was continuing Whitney’s legacy and paying homage to Whitney by working with her half-sister,” Bloch told me.
“I took her to countless social events such as the opening of the Fifth Avenue Dolce & Gabbana store. I introduced her to the creme de la creme in fashion society.”
But Bloch claims he has been unable to collect his fee for the shoot despite a string of e-mails and threatening letters that I have read.
Reached by phone, Houston told me, “This is the first I’ve heard of it.” Asked if there was any reason why the bill hadn’t been paid, Alexis said, “No. Phillip and I have a great relationship.”
“She’s such a liar. I don’t tolerate liars,” Bloch said.
Houston’s office manager Jacob Ascher told me Houston’s label, EMI was responsible for paying the bill.
“Ms. Houston is not a party to the hiring or payments of agents brought on the label’s behalf.” (Requests for comment from an EMI spokesperson were not returned.)
As annoyed as he is with Houston, Bloch doesn’t believe the two big rumors about Alexis — both of which she has denied: that she once had a fling with Matt Lauer and that she is a transsexual who used to be a man named Wellington Houston.
“She has a husband and baby that she lives with in New Jersey, but I’ve never had a client who wouldn’t change in front of me before,” Bloch said. “I don’t think she’s a man, but I never saw what was down there.”

An Oscar romance is blossoming between fellow awards nominees Lupita Nyong’o and Jared Leto.
The pair, who are up for Best Supporting Actress and Actor, were spotted alone together at a table at the intimate Crosby Street Hotel early Wednesday evening.
They were cozying up between attending numerous Fashion Week shows and events, and according to a witness, “They were huddled at a corner table together looking very close.”
Another source said Nyong’o was staying at the Soho hotel for a night after flying into town from LA for Calvin Klein’s fashion show.
There have been whispers during Hollywood’s awards season about the off-screen chemistry between Leto and Nyong’o. The two have stayed close together at the Golden Globes and other events leading up to the March 2 Oscars. They even appear side-by-side on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue with Julia Roberts and George Clooney.
The afternoon after meeting with Leto, Nyong’o made a splash at Fashion Week, where she sat between Anna Wintour and Naomi Watts at Francisco Costa’s Calvin Klein show at Spring Studios. Nyong’o also currently graces the cover of New York magazine’s spring fashion issue and W magazine’s movies issue. Leto was spotted at a show by designer Jeremy Scott.
Both actors are nominated for their work in issue-oriented films. Leto plays a transgendered role in the AIDS drama “Dallas Buyers Club,” while Nyong’o is the breakout star of “12 Years a Slave,” as the obsession of a demonic slaver played by Michael Fassbender.
Meantime, sources said Nyong’o had an on-set romance with her co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor while they were filming the drama for Brit director Steve McQueen. But we’re told the love match fizzled once the movie wrapped. Leto has previously been linked to Cameron Diaz. He landed in Paris Thursday and tweeted, “Going on a jetlag powered run.” Reps for Nyong’o and Leto didn’t comment on their cozy meeting.

Rumours are rife that 41-year-old Hong Kong singer, Leo Ku will be marrying his rumoured girlfriend, Lorraine this summer.
As reported on Oriental Daily, speculations about their upcoming wedding sparked when Leo and Lorraine were spotted visiting their respective parents during the Lunar New Year.
Although the singer refused to make any comments about the marriage rumours, his record label, EEG has expressed their support when asked about their thoughts on the new rumour.
EEG Executive, Ng Yue, who has been encouraging the two of them to get married, reportedly has even approved the singer’s request for a break during summer so he could prepare for the wedding.
Although Leo and Lorraine’s romance has always been an open secret in the industry since the 90s, the singer has yet to go public and confirm their relationship.
