A‘s Suzy Special University Enrollment Rumor Is Not True

Special University Enrollment

JYP Entertainment has recently denied the rumor that miss A‘s Suzy will be enrolling in one of Seoul’s famous universities after receiving special acceptance into the school as an idol.

In Maeil Economics Star Today‘s paper on November 20th, JYP Entertainment revealed, “The rumor that has fiercely spread online about Suzy’s special admission into the university is not true. Currently, Suzy is only focusing on filming the movie Dorihwaga. She currently has no plans of entering the school.”

Not only did the rumor indicate the star’s enrollment into the school, it stated her entry was a special admission because of her idol status. Furthermore, it continues that the plan was cancelled by the school later.

To this a school official refuted, “Suzy’s application to our university is not true. I have never heard of it before. The school does not even have the policy of special admission for the celebrities.”JYP Entertainment representatives added, “She is not going to apply to college this year but Suzy’s future decisions and plans are completely up to her.”

Back in a November 2013 interview, Suzy revealed her thoughts on the topic, sharing, “Maybe my thoughts will change in the future, but as of now, I have never regretted giving up on entering college.” JYP Entertainment representatives added, “Suzy is not going to apply to college this year but later what decisions to be made in totally on Suzy herself.”

In addition to working on the film Dorihwaga, Suzy has been busy preparing for an upcoming 2015 miss A comeback as hinted by J.Y. Park earlier this month.

Korean media portal OBS has reported an update on MBLAQ‘s current situation regarding their contracts, revealing renewal negotiation will resume following the group’s Curtain Call concert scheduled for the end of November.MBLAQ has recently been collecting interest due to the upcoming contract expiration of members Lee Joon and Thunder, leaving many to wonder if the team will break up if the two decide not to stay with J. Tune Camp.

However, there have been many rumors and speculations that despite their contract expiring, MBLAQ will continue as a team of five, with Lee Jooncommenting that nothing has been finalized regarding his contract at a press conference for his current television drama, Mister Baek.

The latest agreement reached between the members and J. Tune Camp is to discuss possible contract renewal and negotiations, and possibly ways to keep MBLAQ as five after the completion of Curtain Call, taking place at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park on November 29th and November 30th.

In addition, it was revealed that MBLAQ will not be promoting their upcoming 7th mini-album scheduled for a November 25th release on music shows.

According to a local online media outlet, it is possible that JYJ and TVXQ might be attending the same event on November 24th.

On November 24th, the movie Big Match will be holding its premiere in Wangsini, Seoul. JYJ, consisting of members Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu, if they were to attend, would be there to support the lead actor, Lee Jung Jae, who is from also a part of C-JeS Enteratainment. Whereas TVXQ, consisting of Changmin and Yunho, would be there to support BoA from SM Entertainment.

Since their split in 2009, JYJ and TVXQ have never attended the same event in order to not interfere with each others’ future activities. If both parties attend the premiere, it would be interesting to see how the organizers would have to plan and assign seating in order to avoid creating a tense atmosphere not only between the members but between the two agencies as well.

Meanwhile JYJ’s Junsu is gearing up for his solo concert 2014 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra Vol.3 on December 30th and 31st while TVXQ will be holding a two day live tour titled T1SToRY on December 6th and 7th.
