According to E!,  Sir Paul McCartney said “She certainly didn’t break the group up, the group was breaking up,” the Guardianquotes the 70-year-old McCartney as saying about the moptops’ 1970 demise.

“I don’t think he would have done that without Yoko, so I don’t think you can blame her for anything. When Yoko came along, part of her attraction was her avant garde side, her view of things, so she showed him another way to be, which was very attractive to him,” added McCartney. “So it was time for John to leave, he was definitely going to leave.”

According to Contact Music, John Lennon’s killer Mark David Chapman has been transferred to a new prison after spending 31 years in a maximum security facility in Attica, New York.

Chapman gunned down the Beatles legend outside his Big Apple home in December, 1980, and was sentenced the following year (81) to 20-years-to-life behind bars.

He has spent the past three decades locked up at Attica Correctional Facility, but on Tuesday (15May12), he was moved to another high-security prison, Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, near Buffalo.

Representatives for the state prison system have not disclosed the reason for Chapman’s transfer.

He has been eligible for parole since 2000, but had his request denied for the sixth time in September, 2010.

Chapman will be able to make another bid for freedom in August (12).

According to the uploader,

Newly released audio tapes of interviews with John Lennon’s assassin reveal Mark Chapman’s self-confessed “compulsion” to kill the former Beatle.

“It was like a train, a runaway train, there was no stopping it,” Chapman told interviewers in a New York prison more than a decade ago.

The singer was shot by Chapman in New York on 8 December 1980. The tapes were recorded in the early 1990s by journalist Jack Jones, who wrote a book about Chapman and his crime. Chapman describes how he shot ex-Beatle Lennon five times in the back outside the Dakota apartment complex, adding “nothing could have stopped me”.”I was under total compulsion,” he says. “I’m thoroughly convinced in my conscience and in my heart that there was nothing I could do beyond that point to help myself, totally convinced of that.”

This is his first major post-Beatles interview and it contains some scathing criticism of The Beatles, Apple, and everyone in between. I consider this to be one of John’s finest interviews.

John Charles Julian Lennon (born 8 April 1963), known usually as Julian Lennon.  According to Yahoo Music News,  Julian Lennon is to release the second single from his highly acclaimed album Everything Changes on 8 April 2012. Guess It Was Me is the follow up single to the sublime Lookin 4 Luv which enjoyed massive exposure on national radio and television.

Guess It Was Me is a reflective and beguiling track built around themes of self-examination and acceptance. Bolted onto a soaring melody, Guess It Was Me has been heralded as a standout track on this well-received album.

It is available in the UK, now, on itunes and amazon.

According to Inquisitr,   Lennon said  “This time ’round, I’m trying to do it my way. For me to be happy in the business means I have to do it myself,” Lennon told Metro. I’ve only released it in Britain. For the rest of the world, I’m thinking of just marketing it online and releasing when I want to.

“It also means I can stay at home as much as I want,” Lennon added. “I’ve got my recording studio at home. Maybe it’s my age – I’m getting stuck in my ways but don’t feel the need to prove myself to everyone.”

Yoko Ono Live Art Show In India Doesn’t Wow Some People

Blog Article: Japan Today “Yoko Ono aims to wow India”

Topic: Yoko Ono

This is Japan Today’s Complete Article: NEW DELHI  — Yoko Ono, the artist and widow of John Lennon, said on Thursday that India’s booming art scene would be fertile ground for her experimental work as she prepared for her first show in the country.

Ono, who is renowned for her outlandish ideas, will display multi-media pieces at 20 venues across the capital New Delhi from Friday and also hold a live performance at the weekend.

“I will be learning a lot of things from this beautiful and very grand land,” she said, as she returned to the country for the first time since a trip with her late husband in the 1970s.

The Japanese-born 78-year-old said her and Lennon, who was shot dead in New York in 1980, visited Mumbai and then traveled to a mountain ashram of a spiritual guru.

“It was an incredible experience,” she said. “John and I thought it was something like out of the Bible going up this mountain, but I remember we were told men and women could not sit together at the camp.

“John insisted we sit together.”

The Beatles famously relocated to the foothills of the Indian Himalayas in 1968 where they adopted a guru, took up meditation and enjoyed a rich song-writing period.

Ono said she didn’t know what would happen with her live show in India.

“Each live show is different depending on who is there and what feeling I get from the audience,” she said.

“I am delighted to find many women running India’s art world,” Ono, who has been a vocal feminist for decades, added.

Among her most striking live performances is a show when people are encouraged to use scissors to cut pieces off her clothes.

Ono, wearing her trademark sunglasses and tilted hat, told reporters that her art was accessible to all and that she hoped Indians would see it as part of her lifelong campaign for world peace.

“I don’t think my work is ‘cutting edge’. I just create something that comes to me as inspiration,” she said. “Right now they are bombing countries… What would Gandhi think of that?”

The Delhi exhibition, called “Our Beautiful Daughters”, which includes video, music and viewer-participation elements, is being organized by the private Vadehra Art Gallery and runs until March 10.

What is more interesting about the article above on Yoko Ono is what people are saying about her; “You’re done!  Now go back to your NY penthouse and stop pretending to be as popular as your husband!”, “What ever you do Yoko, just don’t sing!”, “OMG…glad I am not there”, “Anyone else sick of this woman?”.

Yoko Ono doesn’t have a great reputation, she’s been called a home wrecker by Lennon fans. Lennon was married to his first son’s mother when he began seeing Ono. Does she really have any talent as an artist?
