Tulisa Contostavlos was put on suicide watch by her manager after newspaper reports that she had been involved in a drug deal.

Jonathan Shalit, who represents some of the country’s biggest stars, said the singer had also been targeted by “horrific abuse” online.

He told the Edinburgh television festival on Friday: “She got to the point I was worried she would commit suicide”.

He said: “I made sure that someone was at her house for two consecutive nights to make sure she did nothing stupid, because she was literally at that point of she genuinely thought her life was over.”

The singer is currently on bail to late October following her arrest over claims she acted as a go-between in a drug deal.

Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and  X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger have split up.

The  F1 ace and singer – who have been dating on and off for five years – have reportedly called time on their relationship after their hectic work schedules meant that they hardly spent any time together as a couple.

Scherzinger – who is based in the US – has just reclaimed her seat on the The X Factor judging panel and is currently dashing around the country for auditions, while Hamilton – who lives in Switzerland – has been focusing on his racing career and has been competing around the globe.

Simon Cowell, 53, has been spotted on dates recently with 40-year-old Electra, but would not go as far as saying they were in a relationship.

He said: “She’s not my girlfriend. We’re people who date. She’s adorable, isn’t she?”

Cowell has been single since breaking off his engagement to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy last year and was first spotted having dinner with Electra in Los Angeles in September.

The former Baywatch star, who has been married to basketball star Dennis Rodman and guitarist Dave Navarro, has made no secret of her fondness for the X Factor mogul. According to, The London Evening Standard.

According to New York Post,  singer/actress Janet Jackson is reportedly talking to Simon Cowell about joining “The X Factor.”

Jackson, a guest on this Monday’s episode of “Anderson,” is asked by Anderson Cooper about rumors she’s in talks to become a judge on the show, which canned judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul in a shakeup last month. Host Steve Jones was also fired.

Abdul had an affair with Jackson’s brother Jackie Jackson of The Jacksons while he was married to Enid Jackson who is now deceased.

“No, I am not [currently a judge on ‘The X Factor’], but that’s all I really think I should say,” Jackson says in a clip from the interview.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, singer Pink is also in the running.

SAN FRANCISCO –  Simon Cowell and Fox will allow contestants for the upcoming X Factor reality show to audition via YouTube if they missed the live auditions.   YouTube auditions will end  June 9, solo artists and vocal groups — you must be at least 12 years old — can submit an audition video on YouTube at youtube.com/theXfactorusa.

Good Luck to the contestants and I can’t wait to see the show,  this show allows a wide range of ages.
