A photo of MYTEEN’s Hanseul at a fansign event looking like he is flipping someone off has been going viral and attracting criticism from netizens.

Although it is unclear as to why the gesture was made, the fansite master who was taking the photo was apparently extremely offended as she expressed her anger through a post on her SNS account.

Despite the lack of background, some netizens did not hesitate to criticize the idol for his behavior and attack his character.

  • “MYTEEN those b*tches…I think it was him. They came to our school to perform but their attitude wasn’t so good considering they were just about to debut…I thought I’d paid to see them.”
  • “This is the type of thing we should share. His character is sh*t.”
  • “He’s digging his own grave. Bye-bye, unknown idol.”
  • As a result of the issue that it has been causing, MYTEEN’s agency has released an official statement in regard to the photo, explaining that it was a misunderstanding.

“We have confirmed that the photo was taken in August of last year during [MYTEEN’s] debut album fansign event when [Hanseul] was folding and opening his hands to make various poses. We apologize for causing everyone trouble. We will make sure to prevent such mistakes from occurring again.”

iKON’s Junhoe made a personal statement once more with regards to the controversial post about Takeshi Kitano.

The member already apologized after he posted a photo of a gift from the famous Japanese comedian and director. It didn’t agree to many of his Korean fans, however, as Takeshi Kitano is regarded anti-Korea for his statements made in the past.

In a press conference about their new album release, Junhoe spoke out once more. He apologized for disappointing he public and vowed to be more careful.

“First, I apologize for having disappointed many fans and for causing them to become deeply upset. I am very sorry, and I am deeply reflecting on my actions.

I will never do this in the future. I will always act with gratitude in front of our fans and cherish them.”

— Junhoe

CEO Yang Hyun Suk did not release any statement but has already asked Junhoe to reflect endlessly.

“It happened just a few days before our album’s release date, and I am so sorry to my members. I sincerely apologized to them. I’ve lost face in front of my members and our CEO Yang Hyun Suk.

CEO Yang Hyun Suk told me to be absolutely careful and to repent endlessly.”

— Junhoe

Leader B.I acknowledged that the incident had unfortunate timing but encouraged Junhoe to take this moment to reflect and grow to be a better person.
