Bobby Brown has been battling with Whitney Houston‘s family over seeing his daughter ever since Whitney passed away last week … but Bobby won’t turn this into a legal battle … TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the New Edition singer tell TMZ … Bobby really wants to be there for Bobbi Kristina, but does not want to make the situation more stressful for her than it already is.
We’re told Bobby was very upset with how he was treated at Whitney’s funeral yesterday and feels her family should be as considerate to him as his family was to Whitney when Bobby’s mother passed away last year.
According to our sources, Bobby won’t bring lawyers into the situation and, as on source said, he feels “this sort of thing you let the higher power handle.”

According to CNN,  Singer Bobby Brown said: “My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston,” Brown later said in a statement. “We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continued to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina.

“In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. … I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how,” the statement said.

Brown was expected to attend with two guests but showed up with 10 people, a close friend of the Houston family told CNN on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.

“The family approached Bobby and told him that he could stay in the area reserved for family, but that his guests would need to move to a different section to make room for Cissy (Houston) and the rest of the family,” the family friend said. “Bobby said no.”

When Brown refused, the family asked police to intervene.

“The police told Bobby that he could stay in the area reserved for family, but that his guests needed to move,” the friend said. “Bobby said no, and left with all of his guests.”

The family friend maintained that Brown was always invited to the funeral.

“There was never a question of whether he would be invited or not,” the friend said.

Describing what happened at the service, the Rev. Al Sharpton posted on his Twitter account: “I am at Whitney’s funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney.”

Brown was scheduled to perform with his group, New Edition, later Saturday in Connecticut. Brown considers performing as therapy to get him through a difficult time, a source close to him said Sunday.

He and Houston were married from 1992 until 2007, with Houston getting sole custody of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, when they divorced. Their daughter was born in 1993.

When a slew of Whitney Houston‘s high-profile friends and  family members pay their respects at a private funeral service at New Hope  Baptist Church in Newark, NJ Saturday, there could be some underlying tension  between Houston’s relatives and Bobby Brown, the late star’s  ex-husband.

“There are family members who felt Bobby drove Whitney into drugs,” one  source tells Us Weekly.  “But now Bobby is clean and Whitney has unfortunately passed. So there’s  resentment.”

Despite a rehab stint in May 2011 for drugs and alcohol, Houston, 48, was  “battling her addictions until the end,” a source tells Us of  the Grammy winner, who was found dead in the bathtub at the Beverly Hilton last  Saturday.  In a 2009 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Houston said  she went from being a “light” drug user to a “heavy” one over the course of her  15 year marriage to Brown, 43. “I wasn’t getting high by myself. It was me and  him together.”

The “Saving All My Love for You” singer even admitted to freebasing cocaine   with her husband, father to daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18.

Despite that rough history, the source says, “he and Whitney had a solid  relationship even with the separation and divorce.”

And contrary to rumors that Houston’s family had prevented Brown from seeing  Bobbi Kristina following Houston’s death, “He was involved in choices for Bobbi,  so that seems farfetched that they were keeping her from him. He has seen his  daughter.”

As he preps for his ex’s funeral (to be attended by Kevin Costner,  Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Brandy and brother Ray  J, mentor Clive Davis, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Kahn and  others), “Bobby is very shaken up,” the source says.

In concert with band New Edition in Maryland Thursday night, Brown paid  another onstage tribute to Houston.

“I’d like to say thank you for your prayers . . .I’d like to say thank you.  Period. I’m gonna throw two up for Whitney,” he told the crowd. “That’s my love  Life is life. You have to move on sometimes. I love her like I love God.”

According to TMZ, Bobby Brown may be banned from Whitney Houston’s funeral by her family. Brown said that he blames Houston’s mother Cissy because she has hated him for years.

Brown was accused of striking Houston and Cissy made a statement “Don’t hit my daughter” which Brown has always denied.

It’s been reported by TMZ that Bobby is not allowed to see Bobbi Kristina. Brown said the only reason why he flew to Los Angeles was to be with his daughter.

Houston’s funeral will be held on Saturday February 18 in New Jersey by invite only.

BOBBY BROWN AND FIANCEE ALICIA ETHERIDGE

According to E!Online Singer Bobby Brown has landed at LAX to be with his daughter Bobbi Kristina, Brown was accompanied by fiancée-manager Alicia Etheridge. He and his  entourage quickly powered through the scrum to an awaiting vehicle. Brown didn’t  make any comments but appeared visibly upset.

Bobbi Krisitna, the only child of Houston and Brown, has been staying with  Brown’s other children in Los Angeles following her discharge.

She was in the Bevery Hilton when her mom was found unconcious in her hotel  room and pronounced dead shortly afterward.

There has been Security Hold put on Houston’s autopsy results, while  Beverly Hills police and the Los Angeles coroner continue to investigate the  death of the 48-year-old icon. Officials did confirm Houston was found in hotel  bathtub.  Brown will miss a concert in Nashville with his group “New Edition” to be with his daughter.  I understand Brown’s Fiancée is also his manager however,  is this someone Bobbi Kristina need to see after losing her mother? Her father with another woman? If Brown have more children or go to jail, Whitney is no longer here to bail him out. Brown does have a new baby son.

Bobbi Kristina Brown Hospitalized Over Mother’s Death

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, seems to be taking her mother’s death the hardest.

Beverly Hills Police told ABC News that an ambulance was called this morning to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Bobbi Kristina was staying with her mother, in response to a concern about her health. The 18-year-old was said to be suffering from anxiety.

According to a press release sent to ABC News, Bobbi Kristina was transported from the hotel at 10:26 a.m. local time to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and was “awake and alert” at the time.

A family source told ABCNews.com that she was being “treated for stress and anxiety.” She has since been released.

By Sunday afternoon, TMZ was reporting that Brown was skipping his concert in Nashville to fly to Los Angeles to be with his daughter.

“It’s going to be very hard for her,” Ian Drew, senior editor of Us Weekly, told ABCNews.com

Singer Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown arrive at the 2011 Pre-GRAMMY Gala and Salute To Industry Icons Honoring David Geffen at Beverly Hilton on February 12, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.
In the hours after her mother was discovered not breathing in the bathtub of a Beverly Hilton Hotel room, Bobbi Kristina was reportedly turned away from seeing her.

Earlier, TMZ reported that  Bobbi Kristina got into a shouting match with police officers outside her mother’s fourth floor hotel room when they informed her no one was allowed in. TMZ said she “screamed, cursed and demanded to see her mother” before ultimately leaving.

Houston’s cousin Dionne Warwick was also turned away by officers, according to TMZ.

But Bobbi Kristina was more than just close to her mother; she became her caretaker as the six-time Grammy winner struggled with addiction.

Bobbi Kristina Brown.

“Bobbi Kristina basically grew up her mother’s caretaker, similar to Frances Bean,” Drew said, comparing her to the daughter of singers Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain.

“In a way she was the adult in relationship,” Drew said.

Houston finally divorced Brown, 43, in 2007 and entered rehab last spring.

Afterward, she seemed to be making up for lost time with Bobbi Kristina, who, like her mother, was an aspiring singer and actress — apparently with her own impressive voice.

Mother and daughter had begun working together on songs in the recording studio, according to Us Weekly.

“She idolized Whitney,” a source told the magazine, and “wanted to be just like her mother.”

One way she was unlike her mother: She didn’t do drugs.

After The National Enquirer published photographs last May that appeared to show the 18-year-old snorting cocaine, her father Bobby Brown told ABC News Now, “I don’t know anything about that. My daughter, she doesn’t, she doesn’t do that.”

Bobbi Kristina also defended herself on Twitter a day after the photos came out, saying she was “set up” by a money-hungry ex-boyfriend because of “a horrible relationship that went sour.”

“It’s really not what it looks like,” she wrote.
