Witt Tweeted the following Friday afternoon: “I would like to express my sincerest thanks to Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay, Caesars Palace & my supportive fans for this amazing experience. Due to personal matters, I will not be joining the team in Las Vegas, but I wish them continued success

A “Hell’s Kitchen” spokeswoman declined to elaborate, but we did learn this much. Fox says the job will NOT go to runner-up Mary Poehnelt, a butcher from Massachusetts. That might not sit well with fans of the show, who watched Poehnelt transform from — in her words — Mary the Butcher to Mary the Chef.

According to Newscore,  Will Ferrell and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay put their bodies on the line for charity as a celebrity-filled soccer friendly in the UK turned ugly.

Ferrell limped off the field in considerable pain with a leg injury late in Sunday’s annual Soccer Aid game at Manchester United’s Old Trafford but will have counted himself more fortunate than Ramsay, who earlier was hospitalized following a heavy challenge.

“Hell’s Kitchen” star Gordon Ramsay was stretchered off the field while receiving oxygen, after being flattened by former England international Teddy Sheringham midway through the second half. He later was released from the hospital.
